Introducing Clueprint
A native macOS menu bar app that shows every worktree, Docker stack, and dev server on your Mac - and helps you clean up the ones you're done with.
If you work with AI coding agents, your Mac has a new problem: things you didn’t start, still running for branches you already merged.
Claude spins up a worktree, boots a dev stack, serves it on some port - and when the PR merges, nobody turns anything off. Multiply by a few agents and a few weeks, and you’re carrying a dozen dev servers, a fleet of Docker containers, and forty worktrees you can’t tell apart.
Clueprint is a small native macOS app that puts the whole sprawl on one screen:
- Monitor - everything running from your worktrees, grouped by project and branch, with live CPU and memory per stack. Port links are clickable, so
laravel.testis one click away. - Cleanup - a review flow that shows what’s safe to remove, stalest first. Every candidate passes explicit checks: no uncommitted changes, no unpushed commits, branch merged, nothing running, quiet for 24 hours.
- Worktrees - a browser for every branch across every project, filterable by running, dirty, merged, abandoned, or by which ones still have a Claude or Codex session attached.
The safety model is the product
Cleanup tools are scary, so Clueprint’s rules are strict and simple:
- Nothing is ever removed automatically. Both review flows only propose; nothing runs until you confirm.
- Every action re-verifies against a fresh scan first. If a worktree picked up changes between the scan and your click, the action refuses.
- Dirty or unpushed worktrees are never removed. Ever.
- Abandoned projects are archived, not deleted. Archiving moves the whole project into a sibling
_archivedfolder - every file stays on disk, and moving it back restores it.
It knows when it’s not your fault
Fans spinning doesn’t always mean your worktrees are guilty. Clueprint compares what your stacks cost against the whole machine and names the real culprits - in our screenshots, that honor goes to Chrome, Docker, Xcode, and (fittingly) ChatGPT.
Small, native, private
Clueprint is a small native SwiftUI app for macOS 14+ on Apple Silicon. It reads git, Docker, ports, and agent sessions locally. The app uses Polar for license checks and can fetch your git remotes to detect merged branches. The privacy policy describes those connections and the agent actions you can choose.
