Privacy policy
Clueprint scans your development environments locally. Licensing, git fetching, and actions you choose can use the network.
What the app reads
To do its job, Clueprint reads locally, on your Mac: your git repositories and worktrees under the folders you point it at, Docker container metadata via the Docker CLI, the list of listening processes and their ports, and running agent CLI sessions. It also probes your own localhost ports over HTTP or HTTPS to check which dev servers respond. These probes do not follow redirects.
What leaves your Mac
The app does not send usage analytics or crash reports. These features communicate outside the app:
- License activation sends your license key, Clueprint's Polar organization ID, and a device label to Polar over HTTPS. The label is your Mac's local computer name, or "Mac" if no name is available. License validation and deactivation send the key, organization ID, and activation ID. Licensed copies normally revalidate once a week; a failed network request leaves the stored license in place.
- "Fetch git remotes to detect merged branches" is enabled by default. It uses git to fetch the default branch from each applicable repository's configured origin remote, at most once every ten minutes. You can turn it off in Settings.
- When you choose an agent action, Clueprint can start the selected CLI in the worktree with a prompt, or copy a prompt containing the folder path to your clipboard and open a desktop app for you to paste it into. Prompts can include process details. The agent you choose handles that content under its own settings and privacy policy.
Trial and license state are stored locally. Signed releases use the macOS Keychain for this data, including the license key and activation ID.
